My art of science-...and then some children grow up to be extraordinary. I love the movie October Sky. These kids won their science fair and scholarships to college from a small coal mining town in W.V. I show this movie to my students every year.

1.            After completing the above, share your thoughts about building and participating in an online community and participating in a PLN.
This is very time consuming. I am not sure how I can use this in school. Maybe I will learn more and see the uses. I have always found it also time consuming to look up websites because it just keeps taking you to another. Some things are good and then again some things are worthless and time is valuable to me.
What points stood out to you from the commenting advice?
The commenting advice was good. Lots of good tips. Especially with not just answering with 2 or 3 words. Also get over the DC people.
Were you able to apply any of the advice in your comments?
I tried to make sure it was valued info.
How did you feel about sharing your thoughts publicly? I don’t like it.
Was it different than when you're sharing your successes/challenges with your teammate? Yes. I like face to face and to know the people.

2.            Share the url or name of a website or social network that you plan to visit in the future. What does that site have to offer?  blog for science experiments

  1. October Sky is one of my ALL TIME favorite movies. And I'm with you on public commenting - not my cup of tea. I knew you were going to breeze through these tools. I love your candor, too!
